Residential Roofing
Homeowners have many choices today when it comes to replacing their roof. There are many shingle types, looks, and prices. We can help you choose what is best for your home, taste, and budget.
Asphalt Shingle Roofing
Still the most popular choice in America, asphalt roofing is one of the more traditional roofing materials we offer. We install roofs from the producers of the highest quality asphalt roofing in the country.
Fiberglass Roofing Shingles
Fiberglass roofing shingles refers to the industry-wide implementation of fiberglass mat from the original organic mat manufacturing process of asphalt shingle roofing. Fiberglass roofing shingles provide a tough and resilient material that is non-porous, does not change shape and won’t dry out. Fiberglass roofing shingles are the most popular option to provide cost-effective, yet durable weather protection for sheltering you from the harsh midwest weather and protecting what is most important to you. Fiberglass roofing shingles are similar to asphalt shingles, but they are better quality, and more durable. These include shingles that fight algae growth, offer enhanced resistance to damaging hail , and offer cool roof color technologies that reflect the heat of the sun to keep homes cooler and can reduce the expenses of air conditioning. Depending on your location, choosing a specialty shingle can even reduce your insurance costs (e.g. – an impact-resistant shingle installed on a home in a hail zone). In addition, asphalt shingles are naturally fire resistant, making them an ideal choice for areas where wildfires are prominent.

Architectural Roofing Shingles
Also known as laminated or dimensional shingles, architectural roofing shingles are an upgraded fiberglass roofing shingle. Architectural roofing shingles generally offer more durability and better warranty coverage than 3-tab shingles. Architectural roofing shingles provide a three-dimensional appearance, resulting in a much more refined look. Traditionally, they are composed of a heavy fiberglass mat base and ceramic-coated mineral granules that are tightly embedded in carefully refined, water-resistant asphalt.

LUXURY SHINGLES
Luxury shingles are the highest-quality laminated shingles available, offering a differentiated appearance or functionality that outclasses that of dimensional shingles. Apart from being shingle ‘heavyweights’ that offer premium protection for weathering, luxury shingles are stunning to look upon, presenting the highest quality, coloration, and dimensionality. These products offer the most realistic representation of the old-world wood shake and quarried slate roofing. CertainTeed’s Grand Manor® and Carriage House® products are prime examples of Luxury roofing shingles.

Quality accessories to complement your new shingle roof
- Ice & Water Shield waterproofing shingle underlayment is a composite material of asphalt polymers, formed into a rolled sheet. The asphalt makes it vapor-tight, and the polymers make the asphalt elastic and sticky. This protective barrier is able to stretch and seal around nails driven through it, making it the best solution for winning the battle against water penetration in your roof’s most vulnerable places.
- Synthetic felt is a lightweight, synthetic polymer-based, scrim-reinforced underlayment that outperforms felt. Designed for use on roof decks as a water-resistant layer beneath asphalt roofing shingles.
- Baffle-Style Ridge Vent external baffle design maximizes airflow and works year-round to efficiently and effectively ventilate an attic space. It’s slim profile blends for visual appeal while permitting a uniform, finished roof aesthetic. Combined with sufficient soffit vent intake, ridge vent is the most efficient and effective ventilation system you can install.
- CertainTeed SwiftStart® is an available starter shingle designed specifically for use with CertainTeed Landmark Series shingles. Code-compliant, meets min. 2″ head-lap requirement for metric shingles–many competing products do not. Precision sealant for proper sealing at the eaves.
- CertainTeed Shadow Ridge® Hip and Ridge is an available accessory shingle designed specifically for use with Landmark® Series shingles and are used to finish the hips and ridges. Designed to provide optimum performance–no matter the weather conditions.
